Still Doin' Fine

Our alarm clock tries to crack the ice.
But I don't want to wakeup with the chill that's caught our lives.
So I fumble for the snooze, and try to drift my way back,
on a memory made by us, in fact;
I feel it now, it's warm like summertime.

And we were still doin' fine;
We had a drop-top beater and a bottle of sweet-apple wine.
Down by the lake, our lovin' would make, the sunset blush, bye-bye.
Diamonds winkin' at us from a black velvet sky.
Seats back, quick smack and we were still doin' fine

Something pulls me back; it's your body heat.
And the frost is melting fast as you move close to me.
You whisper that you're missin' all the passion we knew;
and is there anything that you can do? - well
There's room for two in this dream trip back in time.

Down by the lake, our lovin' would make, the sunset blush, bye-bye.
Diamonds winkin' at us from a black velvet sky.
Seats back, quick smack and we were still...
Lovin and a squeezin' to the twangin' on the radio.
Paradise is waiting on a warm kiss baby let's go.

Where we were still doin fine
We had a drop-top beater and a bottle of sweet-apple wine.

And we were still doin' fine.
